Questions we share
Shared questions and professional perspectives for everyone.
Am I the problem or is this emotional abuse?
A reader with a young baby describes a boyfriend’s insults, pressure over childcare and work, and a new threat of physical violence. They question whether they are at fault and worry about what their daughter is learning.
Why won’t my boyfriend be less selfish in bed?
A person feels used and humiliated by their boyfriend's one-sided sexual behavior despite having explained their needs. They wonder why this continues and whether his bipolar diagnosis or their appearance explains it.
As his second wife, will I always play second fiddle to his daughter?
A wife feels sidelined whenever her husband's now-adult daughter visits and remains hurt by a missed milestone birthday. She asks whether being his second wife means she must always receive less consideration.
